Broadcom ( AVGO -2.91%), the semiconductor company that's profited so much from the artificial intelligence (AI) revolution of late, saw its stock slump 3% through 10 a.m. ET this morning after reporting that it beat earnings last night... just barely.

Chipmaker Broadcom is set to report quarterly results after the closing bell Thursday, with Wall Street analysts expecting growing revenue and profits fueled by demand for AI.

Broadcom edged past Wall Street’s expectations with its outlook for the current quarter on Thursday, but that wasn’t enough to lift its stock in the extended session.
