NFL Network's Cynthia Frelund says Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix has taken "a big step forward" in terms of grasping head coach Sean Payton's offense.

As he enters his second season as a starter, quarterback Bo Nix will still work to decipher defenses. He'll game-plan for various defensive coordinators. He'll celebrate wins and move forward from losses. "Honestly, I think that it'll be the same challenges," Nix said Saturday.

The pass-rush talent that helped the Broncos lead the league with 63 sacks last season shined on camp's first full day.

Only those who had a good rookie season qualify for the sophomore slump. Nix was a real good rookie and plans to be real good in year 2.
