New details are emerging about the stabbing in Brentwood that left a man dead earlier this week. WSMV4 has learned that the suspect, 26-year-old Julian Porter, allegedly stabbed his mother repeatedly before a neighbor intervened.

A Brentwood man is shot by a neighbor after stabbing a woman in front of multiple witnesses, according to police.

Police were first called to a home on Lost Hollow Drive shortly after 1:15 p.m. on a report of a stabbing in progress.
