The blaze, dubbed the Bethany fire, was reported before 3:30 p.m. near Bethany Road and Amherst Drive, according to the Burbank Fire Department.

The Burbank Fire Department said Tuesday afternoon it was responding to the Bethany Fire, which is burning near a residential area.

Aggie Kulig, 36, 8100 block of New England Avenue, Burbank, was charged with aggravated battery May 13 in connection with a physical dispute between two students at Liberty Junior High School, police said.
