The Civilian Office of Police Accountability released new body camera footage of a Chicago police traffic stop that led to a chase and a deadly shootout in Hammond, Indiana in May.

A vehicle was seen speeding through the crowd and several protesters were detained during the Tuesday demonstration that drew thousands to downtown Chicago voicing opposition to the Trump administration's stepped-up use of force against immigrants.

HAMMOND, Ind. (WLS) -- Video captured last month's deadly shootout between Chicago police and a man near the Indiana state line. The shooting happened back on May 8. Chicago police were looking for a man wanted for an aggravated battery when they pulled up to the scene of a crash just over the state line in Hammond.
