The Orioles never needed a win more this season than they did Monday. Behind Coby Mayo’s first multi-homer game of his career and Trevor Rogers’ longest outing of the year, the Orioles came through with a 6-4 victory over the Cleveland Guardians that put an end to their six-game losing streak and pulled them back to within three games of the third wild-card spot in the American League.

The Blue Jays lost last night in Sacramento and left the Guardians alone with the final Wild Card. The Orioles keep chasing it. They’re three games back and trying tonight to clinch a series win over the Guardians at Camden Yards.
