CBS News Chicago reports authorities say the female deputy, 50-year-old Shamone Duncan, a 20-year veteran of the Cook County Department of Corrections, was killed in the shooting, along with a 30-year-old Turks and Caicos resident.

A Cook County Sheriff’s Deputy was shot and killed in Turks and Caicos Saturday night. According to a statement from the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, Shamone A. Duncan was on vacation in Turks and Caicos when she was shot and killed.
