The country’s largest pilgrimage honoring Our Lady of Guadalupe kicks off this week in Des Plaines, drawing hundreds of thousands of Catholics from across the nation to celebrate the Virgin Mary.

Each year, more than 300,000 people make their way to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Des Plaines. The person of interest in UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson’s killing has been identified as a 26-year-old computer whiz who graduated as valedictorian from his Maryland prep school.
