England slumped to their first defeat under Thomas Tuchel as Senegal secured a fully deserved victory in the friendly at the City Ground. Tuchel's side laboured badly throughout and were second best to impressive opposition, who became the first African team to beat England's men.

Thomas Tuchel admitted England were "frozen" in their 3-1 friendly defeat to Senegal but insisted there was no cause for panic ahead of next year's World Cup.

Senegal handed England their first defeat by African opponents in 22 games on Tuesday, beating them 3-1 in a friendly at the City Ground thanks to goals from Ismaila Sarr, Habib Diarra and Cheikh Sabaly.
