Former U.S. envoy Zalmay Khalilzad says the Taliban's decision to release American George Glezmann was "a goodwill gesture" to President Trump.

George Glezmann, an American citizen who has spent more than two years in detention in Afghanistan was released on Thursday and is now on his way to the United States, a source with knowledge of the situation told CNN.
