A dog that was abandoned by its previous owner ahead of Hurricane Milton has been adopted into a loving new family.

The five-year-old Bull terrier captured the hearts of those both near and far. Since then, the dog made national headlines.

So Trooper found a new home in Parkland, Florida, where he now has a Bull Terrier sister named Dallas. It’s as heartwarming of an ending as you could hope for, and based on this video below, Trooper could not have ended up in a better home with better dog parents.

The bull terrier named “Trooper,” who was found abandoned and tied to a fence along I-75 in the midst of evacuations ahead of Hurricane Milton, was adopted by a family in Parkland.

It looks like the worst is over for a bull terrier who made headlines when he was found in the Tampa area, abandoned on Interstate 75, in water up to his chest, to wait out oncoming Hurricane Milton.

It's been nearly two months since Trooper was rescued from belly-deep water and the fence he was tied to by a Florida Highway Patrol trooper. Now, just in time for the holidays, he's got his forever home.

Trooper, the dog who was rescued by the Florida Highway Patrol during Hurricane Milton has now been adopted, the Leon County Humane Society announced.
