The former Patriots running back and three-time Super Bowl champion has been hired as the new running backs coach at the University of Illinois.

Former New England Patriots running back James White is joining the coaching ranks in college football. White has been named an assistant running backs coach at Illinois, the school announced Thursday.

Former Badgers great James White, the sweet-footed running back who went on to win three Super Bowls, will have a place on an enemy sideline in 2025.

In a massive move, former Wisconsin Badgers star running back James White is heading to the Illinois Fighting Illini as their next assistant running backs coach. White attended Wisconsin from 2010-13,
