This season, there’s no doubt on who is commanding the huddle. Sayin was elected as one of Ohio State’s seven team captains while teammates have noticed a more confident and vocal Sayin as the top-ranked Buckeyes prepare to host Ball State in their season opener on Sept. 5.

Ohio State was one of the many teams to cruise through Week 1 of the 2026 season. Ball State was in Columbus and stood no chance. The Buckeyes scored 56 points to showcase what the offense is capable of.

The Ohio State Buckeyes took care of business against the Ball State Cardinals in week one, setting up the week two showdown in Austin.
