College basketball reporter Jeff Goodman first reported the news. Achor departs K-State after playing in just seven games in a purple uniform. He was expected to be an impact transfer when he signed with the Wildcats last summer, but things didn’t work out that way for him in Manhattan.

The Wildcats are running out of opportunities to strengthen their NCAA Tournament resume before Big 12 games arrive. If they don’t finish strong in the non-conference portion of their schedule they will be forced to win many league games to have any shot at an at-large berth into March Madness.

The Kansas State Wildcats released senior forward Achor Achor, per college analyst Jeff Goodman. He averaged 7.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 0.7 assists this season. Achor was reportedly released due to “detrimental behavior” that stimulated coach Jerome Tang to part from the forward.
