An 11-year-old girl from Sierra Leone was the only person rescued after a migrant boat believed to have 45 people on board sank.

The young girl was found clinging to two inner tubes and a life vest in rough seas. "She had no food or water with her, and though she was suffering from hypothermia, she was awake and responsive," said Compass Collective.
