The 2026 MLB trade deadline was wild. While this is the case, there could've been even more moves.

MLB.com's Mark Feinsand reports the Braves discussed sending Spencer Strider to the Rangers in a contract swap for Jacob deGrom at the deadline.

According to the MLB.com transaction log, Eric Haase has signed a minor league deal with the Braves. Haase was assigned to Atlanta's Florida Complex. Evidently, he signed the contract before the September 1 cutoff date, an indication that he will be eligible for the postseason.

The Philadelphia Phillies and Atlanta Braves are still battling for the top spot in the National League East.

Braves outfielder Lane Thomas was scratched from the team's lineup on Thursday before their game against the Rays.

Strider has made just 33 starts since the beginning of 2024 and has not posted an ERA below 4.45.
