State officials have identified the New Bedford man who was killed in a house fire on Monday. Alfred Martin, 88, of New Bedford, was named as the victim, according to the New Bedford Fire and Police departments, the State Fire Marshal and Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.

Preliminary investigations have ruled out suspicious activity in the cause of Monday’s deadly fire in New Bedford.

The Branford Fire Department releases the name of the man found dead in a Monday afternoon apartment fire. The man, identified as Richard Levchuk, 61, was found dead inside Unit 49 at 155 North Ivy Street.
