Ehlers, who is one of three Jets averaging more than a point per game this season, played just 6:23 against the Vegas Golden Knights on Friday before leaving with a lower-body injury. The forward remains day-to-day, which was the same update Arniel gave following the 4-3 loss to the Golden Knights.

After Vegas took advantage of a fortunate bounce to take the lead, Gabriel Vilardi the centre won a faceoff which allowed Winnipeg to move the puck around ending up on the stick of Neal Pionk who got his fourth of the season to tie the game 3-3.

Jets head coach Scott Arniel told reporters Saturday that Nikolaj Ehlers has been listed as day-to-day and hasn’t officially been ruled out for the heavyweight clash against the Dallas Stars on Sunday.
