Rome Odunze’s ‘different’ foot injury already causing headaches, but there’s other reason for optimism
The Chicago Bears will be facing the Carolina Panthers to open the season, and there are already some concerns about their key players. It starts on offense, as Rome Odunze has been dealing with a foot injury that dates back to last season.

Bears coach Ben Johnson said Rome Odunze (leg) is “day-to-day” and won’t practice Tuesday. Check back on Wednesday to see if he actually hits an injury report, but Odunze hasn’t practiced yet this week and that’s certainly not a great sign even if we’re not rushing to rule him out just yet.
RBs D’Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai were back on the fields at Halas Hall as the Chicago Bears got in a 50-minute bonus practice in advance of the season opener.
