Ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections, AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday announced Rs 10 lakh insurance for the city's auto drivers. Kejriwal, who had lunch with the family members of an auto driver in Kondli constituency,

This announcement is seen as a part of AAP’s strategy to consolidate support among the city’s auto drivers, who have historically been a strong voter base for the party.

Kejriwal has announced that if AAP comes back to power in Delhi, every auto driver will receive life insurance of Rs 10 lakh and accident insurance of Rs 5 lakh.

Kejriwal assured auto drivers of a life insurance policy worth Rs.10 lakh and accident insurance coverage of Rs. 5 lakh.

Kejriwal promises insurance cover of up to ₹10 lakh for auto drivers, funds for daughters' weddings, and biannual uniform allowances. The government will also support coaching for drivers' children and relaunch the Pucho App.

Sachdeva remarked that for over the past 10 years, Kejriwal has allegedly been deceiving auto drivers. Though he calls them family, he has done nothing to improve their working conditions, he pointed out.
