A senior lawyer appointed by Reform UK to investigate allegations against suspended MP Rupert Lowe and his team has denied making comments he has attributed to her. The Great Yarmouth MP was referred to the police by his party, which accused him of making threats of violence against its chairman.

Rupert Lowe has asked Nigel Farage to “have dinner” with him after he lost the Reform UK whip following allegations of threatening violence towards the party chairman.

Reform’s deputy leader Richard Tice has said “difficult decisions” were made after Rupert Lowe was suspended from the party and reported to the police amid claims of bullying and “threats of physical violence”.
