Authorities have released the name of a Sacramento man who died Sunday after a wave swept him into the ocean while standing on rocks along the coast in Salt Point State Park in Sonoma County. A person has died after he was swept out to sea in Sonoma County on Sunday morning amidst a high surf warning, authorities said.

A Sacramento man died after being swept out to sea Sunday, the Sonoma County Sheriffs’ Office said. According to the sheriff’s office, two men were standing on some rocks near the coast when a wave swept 43-year-old Sacramento resident Shanglong Tang away.
