Before the Tar Heels take the court against San Diego State, Davis took to social media to share an NIL deal he has signed. Davis has inked a deal with Celsius ahead of March Madness, sharing a photo with the energy drink brand. "Tournament ready with Celsius," Davis captioned the post.

RJ Davis and his North Carolina teammates certainly looked as though they belonged in the NCAA Tournament on Tuesday night. Davis scored 26 points and shot 6 of 6 from 3-point range to help the Tar Heels silence some skeptics with a dominant 95-68 victory over San Diego State in their First Four matchup.

Davis broke Hubert Davis' record of 5-for-5 from three, so the North Carolina head coach got a front row seat to watch his own record get broken. Davis' six 3s also ties the North Carolina record for 3-pointers in an NCAA Tournament game, joining his old teammate Caleb Love, Marcus Paige and Shammond Williams.
