Starting with next week's season 2 update, console players of the popular Call of Duty games Black Ops 6 and Warzone 2 won't have to test their mettle against PC opponents… unless they want to.In a Call of Duty blog post,

Activision will soon allow Black Ops 6 and Warzone players on consoles to disable cross-play with PC users in Ranked Play. The company said it was making the move in response to player feedback and “in the spirit of improving the gameplay experience.”

Console-only crossplay is coming in Season 2 of Black Ops 6 & Warzone to reduce cheaters. Activision is enabling the ability to disable cross-play for consoles for Ranked Play. The update includes new Zombies content, weapons, maps, and more for enhanced gameplay.

Treyarch is making a few changes to Ranked Play in Black Ops 6 as well as Warzone, as the developer gears up for the launch of the game's second season.

In a pre-Season 2 update to the community, Activision and Treyarch revealed that 136,000 accounts have been banned for cheating. That number is up from the 19,000 accounts that were initially banned when ranked play launched.
