Housing is coming to World of Warcraft (WoW) and Blizzard Entertainment has provided fans with a first look at how development of this feature is progressing.

In a new blog post, Blizzard shares an overview of WoW’s forthcoming player housing feature.

Player housing is coming to World of Warcraft, and Blizzard has unveiled its first look at how the MMO will handle it. In a new preview, the WoW team walked through early details, and even threw a quick jab at Final Fantasy XIV's housing in the process.

A WoW house will be shared across the player’s Warband (Blizzard’s new term for each player’s roster of characters), meaning your Alliance character can hang out in your Horde character’s house, and housing items and rewards will be Warband-wide.

Blizzard has shared a first look at the housing system it's adding to MMORPG World of Warcraft, but not without a dig at its main rival Final Fantasy 14. Though it's still without a release date, the system has been five years in the making and was first revealed at last year's Warcraft 30th anniversary celebration in November.
