After nearly a year, ferry services are back up and running to one of Boston Harbor's popular summer destinations with new services launching later in the season.

Sail Boston begins on July 11 with the Parade of Sail, when dozens of ships will sail into the harbor before docking to their assigned berths. That night, the first fireworks show will be launched from a barge located off Fan Pier. The second show, also launching from near Fan Pier, is set for July 15.
Massport and the City of Boston operate marine fire and rescue units that cover the harbor around Logan, including specialized fireboats and harbor-patrol teams staffed around the clock, per WCVB. Those units routinely coordinate with the Boston Fire Department and the U.S. Coast Guard when incidents break out on the water.
