ESPN is zeroing in on its plan for its high-profile early-evening programming window, reports The Athletic's Andrew Marchand.
ESPN reportedly wanted to reunite the popular duo to replace Around the Horn, but Russillo opted to sign with Barstool Sports instead. Earlier this week, The Athletic reported the news that ESPN was interested in having Russillo and Van Pelt team back up together.
Van Pelt, now the star host of the 11 p.m. SportsCenter, is a candidate to move his show to the 5 p.m. time slot which had been occupied by “Around the Horn,“ according to a report from The Athletic ‘s Andrew Marchand. ESPN executive Burke Magnus confirmed the talks.
