The Seminoles' coach is taking over play-calling duties during the 2026 season -- a big risk considering the level of his job security this season

Florida State's football program suffered two big losses on Monday.

The Seminoles were 11th in the nation in rushing offense at 218.7 yards per game and 29th in passing offense at 253.4 yards per game in 2025.

The Florida State Seminoles have had to replace one of their key coaches a month after most coaches have already been picked over.

With the 2026 prep class fully signed and complete FSU has shifted its focus towards the 2027 class and will look to add to its four-man class with a number of Junior Days coming up and a plethora of staff members hitting the road. The Florida State Seminoles will have a new starting quarterback for the fourth consecutive year when the 2026 season rolls around. FSU hasn't found much stability at the position since Jordan Travis led the offense back in 2023.

Trezavant Boyd is one of the top cornerbacks in Florida, and the FSU Seminoles are at the top of his recruitment.
