Florida redshirt freshman cornerback Cormani McClain has arrived in camp stronger and better prepared to absorb the playbook after putting on close to 20 pounds of muscle during the winter. The 6-foot-2 McClain, who played last season at 165 pounds, is at 182 pounds this spring.

UCLA transfer J. Michael Sturdivant and true freshman wide receiver Dallas Wilson both made nice catches on deep balls, though Sturdivant had a drop in a red zone drills. Sturdivant (6-foot-3, 216 pounds) and Wilson (6-3, 209) are both bigger targets who appear to have the strength to handle opposing SEC defensive backs.

The Florida Gators opened spring practice on Thursday afternoon with a Billy Napier press conference and it started with some tough news. Starting quarterback and emerging superstar DJ Lagway will be limited in spring practice due to his shoulder and lower body.
