Alphabet's Google asked a U.S. appeals court on Wednesday to throw out a jury verdict and a judge's order forcing it to revamp its app store Play.

Alphabet's Google has urged a U.S. appeals court to overturn a judge's order mandating changes to its Play Store, stemming from Epic Games' claims of monopoly practices. Google argues that the trial's decision was biased and could negatively impact both developers and consumers.

The judge ruled last year the Google Play app store was required to make changes to its payment system after forcing app developers to explicitly use its proprietary system.

Google, in its detailed argument to the San Francisco-based 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals, said the trial judge made legal errors that unfairly benefited Epic Games.
