The Enquirer caught up with Hamilton West Side manager Tim Nichting after Ohio reached the U.S. finals by winning four straight elimination games.

The Hamilton West Side Little League team had an incredible run that ended with a third-place walk-off loss.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (WKRC) — Hamilton West Side came within two outs of finishing its Little League World Series run with a victory before Japan rallied for three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to stun Ohio 3-2 in the third-place game Sunday.

Paseo Verde Little League of Henderson will play Hamilton, Ohio, for the United States championship Saturday in the Little League Baseball World Series. The game is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Pacific time Saturday,

Tim Nichting started coaching Little League Baseball 43 years ago. Along the way, he has helped the West Side Little League from Hamilton, Ohio capture 15 state championships and make five of its U.S.
