PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Ed Sheeran is set to resume his tour Saturday — possibly solo — after all his supporting acts withdrew in solidarity with opener Macklemore, who was dropped after making pro-Palestinian comments onstage.

The devastated British pop star, 35, has faced fierce backlash after Macklemore was dropped over his pro-Palestine views.

Macklemore had been scheduled to open Saturday’s show in Philadelphia. Instead, protesters repeated some of the same remarks the rapper said led to his removal from the tour.

At the start of the concert at Lincoln Financial Field, Sheeran called the October 2023 Hamas attack that killed 1,200 Israelis "horrific."
