LISLE, Ill. (AP) -- The owners of Lockformer Co. have agreed to pay $10 million to a group of homeowners whose wells were contaminated by a chemical from the company's Lisle metal fabricating plant.
A high-ranking official of Lockformer Co. in Lisle testified Monday that company officials have known since 1985 that potentially dangerous chemical spills were occurring at its Ogden Avenue plant.
