Stock market today: Dow, S&P 500 post weekly losses as 10-year Treasury yield hovers near 5%
US stock were little changed on Friday morning as investors continued to calibrate to the Federal Reserve's first rate hike in three years and existential fears about artificial intelligence's capabilities.
Dow Jones Futures: Nasdaq, S&P 500 Hold; Robinhood, Sandisk, AMD, Moderna Surge Into Buy AreasDow Jones futures will open Sunday evening, along with S&P 500 futures and Nasdaq futures. The stock market was mixed, with the 10-year Treasury yield at 5%.
The S&P 500 and Nasdaq are also rising in premarket trading Friday to end a dramatic week for the stock market. Treasury yields are up and Bitcoin prices are climbing.
Major stock indexes finished lower for the seventh time in eight sessions Wednesday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average shedding more than 600 points, after the Federal Reserve unanimously raised interest rates for the first time since 2023 and Chair Kevin Warsh warned about continued inflation.
