Sotheby’s billed it as the only game-worn photo-matched Jordan rookie jersey to publicly surface at an auction. Sotheby’s said a private collector made the winning bid.

A jersey worn by NBA legend Michael Jordan has sold for an astronomical price. According to Sothebys, the jersey sold for $4.215 million. It is presented as a Michael Jordan Chicago Bulls rookie preseason game worn and signed jersey and "the only game-worn photomatched rookie jersey from Jordan to publicly surface."
