Some Google Calendar users are angrily calling the company out after noticing that certain events like Pride month are no longer highlighted by default. Black History Month, Indigenous People Month, Jewish Heritage, Holocaust Remembrance Day, and Hispanic Heritage have also been removed, according to a Google product expert.

Google has for years used its popular online services to remind users about cultural events, marking its Calendar app with occasions such as Black History Month and Women’s History Month.

Google Calendar has removed Black History Month and public holidays, along with other cultural events. Neighbors believe this could be the first step toward erasing African American heritage.
