Ryan Blaney, who has never finished better than 10th in a Cup race at Richmond, will start on the pole for Sunday's race.

It was Blaney’s 10th career pole in 11 seasons and his first since the spring race at Richmond Raceway in 2022. “I think the track kind of caught everybody by surprise, honestly,” Blaney said.

Blaney — who, remarkably, has only a single Top-10 finish in 11 starts at the 0.75-mile Richmond track — was fastest in his first group as well as topping the final qualifying session.
