The music world is mourning Glen Hansard, the Irish singer-songwriter and Frames frontman who died this morning in a motorcycle crash at the age of 56.

Gardaí suspect that the Oscar-winning musician Glen Hansard lost control of his motorbike in the accident that resulted in his death early on Wednesday morning.

Insiders said the special will not be a glitzy affair but would instead reflect the Ballymun man’s concern for the homeless.
