The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved new Covid-19 vaccines for 2026 with updated protection against the circulating XFG variant. Approvals were granted on August 27 to Moderna’s mNexspike and Spikevax, Pfizer and BioNTech’s Comirnaty and Novavax-Sanofi’s Nuvaxovid, which are expected to become available in the coming days.
