Amazon's color e-reader now comes in a 16GB version with no wireless charging or auto-adjusting lighting feature for $250 or $30 less than the Signature Edition. A new Kindle Colorsoft Kids is also available for the first time.

Now Amazon has introduced a 16GB model that’s a little cheaper: the new entry-level Kindle Colorsoft has 16GB of storage and sells for $250. But you do lose more than 16GB of storage if you opt for the cheaper model.

Amazon continues its experiment with color screens by introducing new 16GB versions of the Colorsoft Kindle, including one for kids.
