A brush fire broke out near El Monte County Park in Lakeside Tuesday, leading to almost immediate evacuation orders.

The Phoenix Fire Department says crews are on the scene of a 10-acre brush fire that sparked just before 12 p.m. on June 17 at North Mountain.

LAKESIDE, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A brush fire has prompted evacuations Monday in the Lakeside area. The fire is burning 25 acres near El Monte Road, according to Cal Fire San Diego.

Multiple fire crews are battling a brush fire on North Mountain. At around noon Tuesday, Phoenix Fire crews were called to the mountain, near 7th Street and Peoria Avenue for a fire. Smoke could be seen coming from the mountain.

PHOENIX — Fire crews are working to contain a 10-acre brush fire in the area of Shaw Butte Mountain. Crews were first called to the area just before noon on Tuesday, according to the Phoenix Fire Department. Roughly 100 firefighters are responding to the fire in an attempt to fight it on two sides.

Fire crews are on the scene of an active brush fire that ignited in Phoenix on Tuesday afternoon. Details on the fire are limited, but it was reported near 19th Avenue and Cholla Street on the Shaw Butte Trail.

A brush fire that started on Maui over the weekend has resulted in evacuations and burned hundreds of acres. On June 15, Maui County stated that the Maui Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) ordered residents “near Mile Markers 24 and 25 of Kahikinui” to evacuate.

The blaze was reported in the area of South Palm Avenue and East Santa Maria Street shortly after 3:20 p.m., according to initial reports.
