Stanley, the drinkware brand that exploded in popularity on social media, issued a recall of roughly 2.6 million travel mugs over potential “burn hazards,” the Consumer Product Safety Consumer (CPSC) announced in a release Thursday.

Stanley — whose cups have become almost as popular as the National Hockey League’s Stanley Cup — recalled 2.6 million travel mugs because their burn count got too high. As explained in the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recall notice,

The recalled Stanley Switchback and Trigger Action stainless steel travel mugs were sold at Amazon, Walmart, Target and more.

More than 2 million Stanley cups have been recalled after multiple incidents of burn injuries. The 2.6 million Stanley cups recalled were reported to have loose tops. When holding hot beverages, the loose tops can fall off and cause significant burns.
