Brooklyn Nets forward Haywood Highsmith was acquired from the Miami Heat along with a 2032 second-round pick on Friday in exchange for a Nets 2026 second-round pick that is unlikely to convey.

The Miami Heat traded forward Haywood Highsmith to the Brooklyn Nets, the latter team announced Friday.

As for Highsmith, who made the news a couple of years ago for a difficult off-court situation, he may be able to get more minutes on a rebuilding Nets team before hitting free agency in summer 2026.
