Brendan Mott led a group of 13 Kansas State football players who received all-conference honors from the Big 12 this week. Mott, a 6-foot-5 and 244-pound senior defensive end from Iowa City, was selected as Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year after he recorded 45 tackles this season, with 8.5 of them ending up as sacks.

Rutgers football is headed to Phoenix to play Kansas State in the Rate Bowl on Dec. 26 at Chase Field. It’s the second-straight bowl appearance for the Scarlet Knights, who earned bowl eligibility after going 7-5 during the regular season in their best campaign in a decade.
