The Rebels (31-13, 12-9 SEC) won their latest SEC series 2-1 at home against Vanderbilt (31-13, 12-9). Even though the final game of the series was a 13-0 run-rule loss, Ole Miss' series win combined with an 8-7 victory in the Governor's Cup against Mississippi State to make for a winning weekend.

Vanderbilt baseball dropped out of the top 10 of the polls after losing a series at Ole Miss. The Commodores (31-13, 12-9 SEC) were ranked in the top 10 for the first time all season a week ago, but they dropped after losing a midweek game to Middle Tennessee and then two of three games to the Rebels (31-13, 12-9).
