Adam Gaudette scored twice and Linus Ullmark made 36 saves to lead the sluggish Senators to a 4-3 victory in San Jose.

Before the game’s first goal, Sharks defenseman Jake Walman lifted the puck out of his zone to the Ottawa blue line. But it quickly came back into the San Jose end as Tim Stützle raced toward the Sharks’ net before passing to Gaudette, who directed it past Blackwood for a 1-0 Senators lead at 4:35.

Adam Gaudette had two goals, including a late go-ahead score, Linus Ullmark made 36 saves and the Ottawa Senators beat the San Jose Sharks 4-3 with only 11 shots on goal.

It was the only shot in the period for the Senators, who were outshot in the game 38-11. Tyler Kleven scored his first NHL goal, and Stutzle had three assists for the Senators (10-11-1), who have won two straight after losing their previous five. Linus Ullmark made 35 saves.
