Wisconsin quarterback Braedyn Locke plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, he announced on Wednesday. Locke began his college career at Mississippi State. Locke was thrust into the starting role in both 2023 and 2024 as the quarterbacks Wisconsin had starting got injured.

The move is the latest shakeup to Wisconsin’s quarterback room and comes two days after Van Dyke opted to leave the program for the transfer portal. Van Dyke has one year of eligibility remaining, and there were no guarantees he would be healthy enough for the Badgers next season after coming off an ACL tear in his right knee against Alabama.
