A recent addition to the list of national holidays, Juneteenth National Independence Day won’t stop the money from flowing. So Publix, Walmart, Target, CVS and South Florida shopping malls will be open for business on Thursday. Costco is even open — and if Costco is open on a holiday, everybody is open.

Juneteenth marks the official end of slavery in 1865. Most stores and restaurants are expected to be open normal hours.
