Ranch Fire initially started 11:39 a.m. March 8 in San Bernardino County. Since its discovery 29 hours ago, it has burned 60 acres. As of Sunday evening, the fire has been fully contained. Investigations into its cause are still ongoing.

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials report that on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, deputies in the Morongo Basin responded to a call of suspicious circumstances at a home in the 6600 block of La Habra Avenue.

A new wildfire was reported today at 2:49 p.m. in San Bernardino County. Sheep Fire has been burning on private land. There is currently no information on the containment of the fire and its cause has yet to be determined.

Critics of Prop. 36 say the law makes simple drug possession a felony, dramatically increasing costs to taxpayers for incarceration without reducing crime, and that it will cause confusion in the courts because judges will have discretion on what penalties to impose.

A burglary suspect died and another was left wounded after they were both shot by a San Bernardino County resident whose home they allegedly broke into, authorities said Thursday. Joy Benedict reports.
