The Trump administration has again sent envoys to Moscow to try to end Russia’s war of conquest against Ukraine. The objective is laudable, but the strategy fails to see Russian leader Vladimir Putin for the tyrant he is and is thus doomed to fail.
It is a mystery why President Trump continues to rely on the hapless team of Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff—his son-in-law and fellow real-estate tycoon, respectively—to hammer out treaties to end the most destructive wars of our time: Russia vs.
The US envoys landed in Moscow on Saturday morning and were escorted to the Kremlin for talks with Putin behind closed doors.
